Re:      Haiti Disaster Relief

My Brothers,

We are all now aware of the dreadful situation which exists in Haiti. The Nation is in utter ruin and those who escaped death in that terrible disaster are in desperate need of all the necessities of life.

The Grand Lodge of Nova Scotia, in cooperation with the Masonic Foundation, is urgently pleading for the assistance of the Craft to contribute generously to this humanitarian cause.

Lodges and individual members can make cheques payable to the Masonic Foundation of Nova Scotia and mark them “Haitian relief”.

We are informed that the Federal Government will match all contributions and the Masonic Foundation will issue tax receipts for all contributions.

Lodges collecting funds for this appeal may forward a cheque to the Masonic Foundation with a list of the names of those who made the contributions and tax receipts will be issued to those named.

Contributions should be forwarded to the Masonic Foundation, 167 Coronation Avenue, Halifax NS B3N 2N2 not later than March 15^th, 2010.
