Imperial Session Resolutions 2009 .
Due to the financial situation we find ourselves in today, the International Shrine Association has severely felt the impact. The Imperial Session in Antonio Texas will be very important where a number of issues will be voted on which includes the closing of six hospitals but at the same time opening three new temples in other places in the world. Shriners 50/50
Paul McCartney Concert 11 July 09
Kiss Concert 18 July 09
Philae Shirner’s have been invited to sell 50/50 tickets at both the Paul McCartney Concert 11 Jul 09, and Kiss Concert 18 Jul 09. The exact timings for these concerts is not know at this time, but it is expected that the gates will open around 3:00 PM with the end of ticket sales approximately 7:30 PM.
The promoters have indicated that they will only give the Shriners a limited number of ‘passes’ to sell the 50/50 tickets. In order to be fair to all the shriners, who would like to assist with these concerts, the following procedure will be followed:
- Only shriners and their spouse (significant other) will be permitted to sell tickets.
- Be prepared to stay for the whole period of time (2:00 PM – 7:30 PM) keeping in mind the purpose is to sell as many tickets as possible.
- Shriners interested in participating in the concerts are to contact Noble Gordon Taylor at 902-895-0261 or 902-657-0120 or gordon.taylor@ns.sympatico.ca specifying for which (or both) concerts you would like to sell 50/50 tickets.
- Since there will be a limited number of passes to sell tickets, nobles are to submit their name, and spouse’s name, to Noble Gordon as soon as possible. Once he has compiled a list, he will make the selections for the two concerts ensuring equal representation from each of the clubs.
- Shriners are to wear their fez and if possible some other Shrine identifying clothing. Spouses are encouraged to wear shrine identifying clothing also.
- Sandwiches and water etc, will be provided. Shriners are encouraged to bring a folding bag chair for relaxation during breaks from selling tickets. Access to the trailer will be limited due to the handling of money and tickets, etc.
This is an opportunity for the Shriners to have some fun raising money and getting some excellent exposure to the public. Please give Noble Gordon a call to volunteer your time in selling 50/50 tickets at these concerts.

Letter from the NS International Tattoo
I am contacting you on behalf of the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo to invite the Shriners to yet again participate in the Canada Parade. I have talked with your office and I am aware that you already have commitments on that day but I am hoping that there still might be some of your membership interested in participating in our parade as well The date of the Parade is 1 July 09 starting at 10:30 am at Artillery Park in Halifax and runs down Spring Garden Road

Patriot Days Parade Lower Sackville 1 Jul 09
This is our annual invitation for your participation in the 2009 Sackville Patriot Days, Canada Day Parade on Wednesday, July 1, 2009. Last year’s six-day Patriot Days events attracted many spectators and participants! In 2008, the parade had over sixty-five entries, and was a great success for all involved. This year we anticipate a bigger and better parade and even more spectators and participants The parade will form up in the Sobey’s parking lot at Downsview Mall commencing at 7:30 am and march off at 9 am . The parade will wind its way 2.7 km down Sackville Drive and disperse in the Rock Church parking lot.
